An inclusive and accepting atmosphere

From its beginning, Good Shepherd United Methodist Church has been known as a friendly church. People of all ages and from all walks of life come and find an inclusive, accepting atmosphere where they grow in their Christian Faith, find support and care.

Good Shepherd United Methodist Church is an inviting neighborhood church family.  Our purpose is to celebrate God's message in worship and in our daily lives; engage with our community through active and relevant service; equip our congregation for spiritual growth and expanding faith with emphasis on our young people.

Good Shepherd UMC is located in northwest Thornton at 3960 East 128th Avenue.

This is just west of Colorado Blvd on the south side of 128th Avenue.

Good Shepherd's parking lot surrounds the church on the east and south sides. Plenty of parking is available for all worship services.

What are Sunday Services Like?

Worship Service

At this time, two identical services at 9:00 am and 10:30 am blend contemporary and traditional aspects. Music, scriptural based message, and prayer help worshippers focus on their spiritual growth. Rev. Yo Han Han’s personal message explains the scripture with renewed eyes.

Due to the COVID-19 protocols, everyone is asked to wear a mask and social distance between family groups. Extra cleaning and safety protocols are in place.

There is no dress code and folks are very friendly. Please reserve your seat and come join us for worship.

Bell Choirs

Our Bell Choirs, led by Connie Anderson, will add music to services, usually on the third Sunday of the month.

Adult Sunday school is available via Zoom at 10:30 am

Children's Sunday school is held at 10:30 am. Please reserve a seat for your child/youth.

The Nursery is unavailable at this time.
