The Good Shepherd United Methodist Church has participated in the Patin-a-Thon program to help out the community.

The Paint-a-thon is a once-a-year volunteer crew painting a home in the 'Thornton area under the umbrella of the Brothers Redevelopment.  Homes are selected from applicants who need to qualify as seniors or disabled with income restrictions etc. All the materials are provided by Brother's and the city of Thornton.
